Beaver Eradication Program
The Columbia County Conservation District, through a partnership with the Arkansas Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Division, sponsors a beaver control program and pays a bounty of $10
per beaver. Beavers must be harvested within the boundaries of Columbia County. Harvested beaver tails and completed Request for Payment forms are then taken to Eastridge Animal Hospital for notching. After notching, a check will be mailed to the harvester. If beavers are are not harvested on public land or land owned by the harvester then the landowner must give permission for beavers to be trapped. This is done by having the landowner sign the Request for Payment form or by completing a Property Access Agreement and returning it to the district office. The Property Access Agreement provides the harvester access to an area for a year. Click on the links below to download the Request for Payment and the Property Access Agreement.
